My work with the Text Encoding Initiative
I have been a user of TEI encoding since the early 2000s. I was Managing Editor editor of the Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative 2013–2015, and served as an elected member of the TEI Technical Council 2010–2015; I am currently serving another three-year term on the Council starting in January 2025.
You can see much of my TEI-related work on the TEIʼs GitHub repositories. I have focused on various topics in the TEI Guidelines, including Characters, Glyphs, and Writing Modes, Ruby Annotations, generation of schemas from TEI ODD files (the ATOP project), and GIS encoding.
